Dr. Arno Haselhorst founded the consulting firm Haselhorst Associates in 2004. As a consultant or CRO, he assists well-known companies with the development and systematic implementation of strategies, with reorganization measures and with comprehensive restructuring projects. Arno Haselhorst previously worked as a senior project manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and served on the supervisory and executive boards of stock corporations.

Johann Georg von Hülsen has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2016. His work mainly focuses on reorganization and restructuring projects, carve-outs and post-merger integration as well as process and working capital optimization. He has held management positions in manufacturing companies and in the trade and tourism sectors. Johann Georg von Hülsen was previously a senior manager at Ernst & Young. He has supervised many successful restructuring projects and transactions, for clients including KarstadtQuelle AG (subsequently Arcandor AG), BÖWE Systec GmbH and the German Federal Ministry of Defense.

Dr. Jörg Schumacher has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2011. With a doctorate in economics, he has already successfully managed numerous restructurings in DAX companies at the management consultancy - including reorganizations in France, Portugal and Italy. In addition, he built up the digitalization division and was responsible for comprehensive digitalization initiatives for major global clients. Before joining Haselhorst Associates, Dr. Jörg Schumacher had already gained many years of experience in advising top management and was involved in a wide range of organizational projects as an internal consultant and manager in line functions.

Sabrina Hirniak has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2010. Her work focuses in particular on restructuring and CRO. Over the past years, Ms. Hirniak has successfully advised numerous companies in Germany and Europe on comprehensive reorganizations and restructurings, gaining extensive experience in top management consulting. Before joining Haselhorst Associates, Ms. Hirniak worked for various industrial companies and later for Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Dr. Maximilian Eberl has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2019. He has a doctorate in economics, served as an officer in the German armed forces and has held various line functions in industry, including in the field of performance improvement. At Haselhorst Associates, he focuses on the steering and operational management of holistic turnarounds as a CRO and team. Over the past few years, Dr. Maximilian Eberl has supervised the successful restructuring of automotive suppliers in North America, Europe and China.

Carl Schoenaich-Carolath has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2020. The graduate industrial engineer has previously held various concept and management roles as a director in the restructuring of industrial companies with assignments in Europe, the USA and China. His focus is on operational restructuring and reorganization, in CRO and team mandates and as COO within restructuring. Before joining Haselhorst Associates, he worked as a consultant in the operations environment and as a plant manager in medium-sized companies.

Rainer Fellenz has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2025. Mr Fellenz is an expert in operational restructuring, with a particular focus on CRO and COO mandates. He draws on his broad technical, economic and legal expertise to provide clients with the best possible advice. He has over 30 years of industrial experience in international automotive and transportation businesses, holding a number of leading operational positions, including the management of multiple production plants in Europe. Most recently, as an independent consultant, Mr Fellenz has successfully managed the operational turnaround of large mid-sized companies.

Tobias Hassel has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2018. Prior to this, the industrial engineer held various management roles in the restructuring of industrial companies as a director, working in Europe, the USA, and Africa. His focus is on developing holistic restructuring concepts and operational restructuring with a focus on performance optimization, staff reductions, and OEM negotiations. He is also our main contact for topics related to improving results and reducing costs through digitalization. Before joining Haselhorst Associates, Tobias Hassel worked as a consultant in the banking sector and in various industrial companies.

Caio Gilberti has been with Haselhorst Associates since 2025. He brings over 30 years of extensive industry and advisory experience, supporting large and complex restructuring situations and transactions as an advisor and C-level executive. Caio Gilberti has built significant expertise across mandates including restructuring, pre- and post-deal support, post-merger integration and carve-outs. After earning his MBA from Harvard University, he established an international career working for organizations such as The Boston Consulting Group, GE Capital, and AlixPartners. While based in the United Kingdom, United States, Russia and Switzerland, he has consistently served clients and situations globally.

Phil Jones joined Haselhorst Associates in 2026, bringing more than 30 years of experience in industrial management and hands-on advisory. He specializes in turnaround and transformation, with a focus on manufacturing, overhead efficiency and leadership coaching. His distinguished career includes positions with BCG, AlixPartners and McKinsey and features high-impact mandates, such as serving as CTO for a Scandinavian industrial firm and leading a cost transformation for a global cosmetics company. With 14 years of operational leadership in the metal packaging industry, he combines deep sector expertise with strategic rigor to deliver sustainable, value-driven results across global markets.
