When designing the CRO Academy, we deliberately place great emphasis on application-oriented content. As a result, the twelve participants once again went through all the phases of a CRO mandate and dealt with specific practical examples. The concept has been very well received. For example, Jörg Rückauf, CEO of Hirschvogel, describes the CRO Academy as “challenging and clearly structured”. He also praises the targeted focus on “restructuring as the basis for a successful turnaround”.
The CRO Academy is supported by our renowned partners Freshfields, Greenberg Traurig, Willkie and Rothschild. Nils Garrelfs, who took part as an interim manager, emphasized that he particularly liked the excellent speakers, interesting participants and the successful overall set-up. We are naturally very pleased about this compliment.
One of the focal points this year was the legal complexity of restructuring. Peter Prinz, CEO of Planatol, confirms that he has gained a much more comprehensive understanding of the entirety of a CRO mandate. “It's not just about cost-cutting, as is often portrayed,” he adds.
We would like to thank all participants and speakers at the CRO Academy for their intensive participation. If you would also like to get a basic impression of the tasks of a CRO, we would like to give you the following tip: Arno Haselhorst spoke about the role of the CRO in the ARD program Plusminus in mid-March. The report underlines the importance of sound and experienced leadership in challenging times. Interested parties can find the program in the ARD media library and on tagesschau.de
We have compiled all the details on our CRO Academy website. You can find the article in the ARD program Plusminus on tagesschau.de.
