Since April, he has been strengthening the ETO GROUP, a global technology group with a focus on the automotive industry, as CRO. He has also previously led successful restructuring projects at automotive suppliers in North America, Asia, and Europe.
In the program, he explains: “The volatility of call-off figures today poses a major challenge in terms of becoming more flexible.” This is because customers cancel their orders a few weeks before production, even though the materials are already on their way and the employees have been scheduled. Suppliers are usually in a difficult negotiating position and are sometimes pushed by customers into an acute liquidity crisis.
In addition to flexibility, it is above all cost pressure that is causing problems for automotive suppliers. Maximilian Eberl adds: “We are a location in Germany where we bring innovative products to market, but ultimately we have to produce cheaply, and that is the challenge for the coming years.”
The ETO GROUP, based in Stockach, develops and manufactures electromagnetic actuators, sensors, electronics, and system components. As CRO, Maximilian Eberl manages the complex change processes there. The aim is to accelerate the transformation that has already begun, streamline structures, and make the company more agile in order to secure its long-term competitiveness.
